Newsletter Product Reviews

There are about a million and ten products available to get you a successful newsletter or ezine. But, which ones should you choose?

Pros: You can send professional html newsletters and make your business look great in a snap.

Cons: If you'd like to have your messages running automatically, then check out aweber instead, below.

Aweber - Autoresponder/Newsletter (This is the one I use now.)

The best thing about a good autoresponder program is that it will support multiple lists, so you can set up several lists (customers for each business, team, potential recruits, family, etc.). This can also support multiple newsletters.

Pros: Aweber allows you to have multiple lists - (for customers, leads, team-members, family, different businesses). It keeps you from being accused of spam, and it has extremely high deliverability.

It sends messages out on a schedule. A new person can be getting Message 1 while someone who signed up last month may be getting message 10. Very passive, automated program.

Cons: If you're just starting out the price can be a factor. But, it's a lot easier to choose a quality autoresponder from the start than to switch your lists later.

Ezine Queen Newsletter

This is one of the newsletters I always read. She provides great information on how to get a loyal newsletter list. Plus, if you sign up for her newsletter, you'll receive a FREE REPORT, “The 3 Simple Secrets to Publishing an Ezine That Makes You Money.”

Pros: The Ezine Queen is THE person to listen to when it comes to list-building. And, her free newsletter is a must read.

Cons: Some of  her products are a bit pricey. They are definitely worth it, if you can afford them though.

List & Traffic Profits
WOW! I love this one. GREAT resources. It'll make you rethink the way you do business.

YahooGroups - Another option for staying in touch with your list.

Pros: It's free. It's interactive.

Cons: Many people are turned off by the hoops you have to jump through to join YahooGroups. The advertising can make it look unprofessional

YMLP - Your Mailing List Provider (Newsletter Only)

Pros: This service is a great option if you only plan to have one mailing list. There is a free version that includes ads (I wouldn't recommend this as it doesn't look professional), and a premium version that is very inexpensive.

Cons: This does not have autoresponder capabilities. So, you can not set more than one newsletter to go out at a time.
