Success Cast #1 – Nicole Dean
Welcome to ShowMomtheMoney.com Success Cast!
It’s one thing to teach moms how to work from home and how to grow a profitable business from home but I find that too many moms get stuck in the idea phase. They really want to make this work but are paralyzed with fear or uncertainty, which prevents them from taking that leap.
In this podcast you will certainly learn new things about running a business and strategies for making it grow. But most importantly, you will hear first hand from people who have become successful but who all started out right where you are now… unsure of their potential and unable to take that first step.
I decided that I should be my very first guest so I asked my mom to interview me. I figured I should be on the hot seat before making my other guests sit there 😉
So in this interview you’ll learn how I got my start as an online entrepreneur, the top 3 things that have helped my business grow, the top 3 resources I can’t live without and who my mentors are! And that’s just in the first half of the show…
Take a listen and leave me a comment below about who you’d like to hear as a guest. And remember, it’s wonderful to have a business plan but it takes ACTION to make it leap off the paper and become a reality.
Resources & People Mentioned in this Call:
- lpamm.com – a Networking group where I met many of my current business friends.
- Aweber.com – My autoresponder.
- Jimmy D. Brown – My mentor and friend.
- Shelancers.com – Where I teach Virtual Assistants, Ghostwriters, and other Service Professionals my 2-pronged approach.
- GotoMyPC.com – Allows me to travel and keep up with business.

Nicole:
I heard about this show on Twitter today so I was listening to it as I was working along today.
I totally enjoyed listening to this! I am going to visit both of the sites you mention.
Ironically, I am going to start working on my own blog this week.
I look forward to hearing more of your shows. I am also hoping I can find you on Twitter.

I may be somewhat biased on this matter, but you ARE a Rock Star! Thanks for letting me take part in this first interview for “Success Cast.” It was fun and informative, even if I already knew some of the answers. I love how genuine you are in your beliefs and in your story. Of course, it would be pretty hard to lie to your Mother, so I guess there’s no doubt about your “truthiness” here! Keep up the good work… Love ya!

Thanks for the inside information. I especially appreciate the distinction you make between authority sites and a regular website. I took notes and will listen again.

You did a great job on the podcast and I really enjoyed listening from start to finish. I have been gathering my own research for about a year now on the internet. My goal is to also work at home with my kids and be with family. My only challenge now is to put to use all of the valuable information I’ve been hanging onto for the last year. Your podcast helped me put things back in perspective so that I can now have a starting point. Thank you for that!!

Nicole, I am so happy you started this. I LOVED the first show. You know you my girl..right 🙂
I am going to have my daughter-in-law listen to this because she is throwing her hat into the online ring too. I start training her next week.
Wonderful job and I can’t wait for more.

LaTara, Kelly, Mom! – Thank you all. I’m enjoying this project so much!
Toni – Please post an update. Did you take Action?
Wysteria – So glad you enjoyed it. Yes, I create both niche and authority sites. Whichever you choose – focus on quality so that you can attract advertisers, get loyal traffic and, if you decide, sell it down the road.
Michelle – Sure. I’m at http://Twitter.com/NicoleDean – would love to follow you.
Thanks all for your comments! They mean the world to me.
