Breastfeeding pumps can give you some flexibility if you decide to pump while breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding Tips

So you decided that, when your baby is born, you want to be a breastfeeding mom. Congratulations!

What do you need to be a breastfeeding mom?

Well, you'll want a cozy chair to sit and snuggle and nurse in. A glider rocker or a comfortable recliner can save your back and your bottom! Make sure everyone in the house knows that it's your chair. Set up a box of Kleenex, some water bottles, a good book, and other necessities nearby so you can relax while you're breastfeeding.

We recommend getting a pump if you are planning to work outside the house -- or if you'd like to have a great amount of flexibility. Attachment parenting is great, but sometimes it's necessary for our sanity to get out of the house, and to be comforted knowing that your baby is getting a bottle of your breast milk in the meantime.

There are many pumps on the market. Some are not very fun to use. If you plan to do a lot of pumping, then electric is the way to go.

We recommend these pumps and their accessories.
